Calligramme

My Future Letter:

Dear future Olivia,

I am currently a Freshman in college writing to my 38-year-old self. I hope by then I have my life figured out more. I have so many friends that I hang out with every day and I really hope to be friends with them still. My friends are Eloise, Kenna, Darby, Tess, Ella S, Kyra, Tini, Ella P, Gracie, Jessie, and so many more. College has brought me out of my comfort zone and showed me that I am capable of doing anything. Before going to college I was extremely nervous about meeting new friends, but I seriously have met some great people here. I hope that you are married to a very rich and attractive man lol. I wonder where I'm going to end up living… Possibly Florida, New York, or even back in Minnesota. Do I have children, if so how many? Thinking about being 38 definitely scares me. My life currently consists of waking up going to class, maybe going to the pool, and then hanging with friends. On the weekends, I go to Caddys with friends and usually go out after. Life is so fun right now and I don't want to grow up. I will hopefully have a job I love to do or at least make a lot of money doing. I want to have a golden retriever and a big house with a pool. I really hope that before I have kids I have the opportunity to travel the world. I recently went to Dubai and it completely changed my perspective. I want to gain new experiences and cultures by visiting cool places. Maybe I will live in another country for a year. I am excited to look back at this and see how much I've changed and grown throughout the years.

My final Calligramme:                                My final sketch:

When doing this project I was given the task of writing a letter to my future self and artistically turning it into another form. When creating my calligramme I needed to draw something that had meaning to my life and my future. I decided to turn my letter into a rose because of its strong significance to me. My middle name is Rose, and it also represents me blossoming and blooming into a better and wiser person.
